From Varadero to Cienfuegos, Trinidad and Santa Clara
Day 1: Varadero - Pigs Bay - Cienfuegos - Trinidad
We pick you up early in the morning with a Classic Car in Varadero.
On your first tour to Trinidad we stop first in Zapata National Park.
The UNESCO Biosphere Reserve is one of the most beautiful and pristine landscapes in the Caribbean. With a little luck you can see wild parrots, flamingos or the "Honeybee" (the smallest hummingbird in the world).
We will visit with you a crocodile farm which also functions as a nature zoo. Optionally you can visit an Indian village on a boat tour (10 $ per person extra).
Past nature pools and the famous Bay of Pigs we continue to Cienfuegos.
Cienfuegos is called "The Pearl of the South" in Cuba. The city was built in the French style and was for many decades the "sugar city" of the Caribbean.
After the visit of the historical old part of town it goes on on a Caribbean coastal road to your Casa to Trinidad. In a country typical, very good Casa you close the day with a good Cuba Libre.
Day 2: Trinidad - Santa Clara - Varadero
After a typical Cuban breakfast we will go on a city tour through Trinidad. The small town on the Caribbean Sea is characterized by colonialism, sugar and the slave trade.
Afterwards it goes - of course - directly to one of the most beautiful Caribbean beaches. A bath in the Caribbean must be easy.
After lunch we continue in the direction of Santa Clara. Here you visit the world-famous colonial "Finca Iznaga Ingenio" (Valle de los Ingenios), the mansion of the famous plantation owners Iznaga. With its bell tower the whole complex belongs to the UNESCO world cultural heritage. The entire area has 75 historical sites.
Then it continues to Santa Clara to the Che Guevara Mausoleum. After a short tour through the city, we pass the typical Cuban country life and return to Varadero.
